The Cry of a forgoten Voter

The Cry Of A Voter.........By Kiai Koech.

To win an election means the majority of the people in all polling centers voted in favor of the winner. It may also mean;

  • Voters believed and trusted that the resources they are entitled to them will be well sourced, managed and distributed equally without fear or favor of  whosoever through  you the politician.
  • Voters believed in Your abilities of approach to the plights people are faced with.
  • People believed that through you those places whose children study on the shades of trees will get classrooms
  • Voters believed that through you those places whose mothers deliver on the road sides or die because of delivery complications get a nearby dispensary to access maternal services.
  • Voters believed that the sick who are carried by wheelbarrows and safari beds to dispensaries which are over 10kms away who sometimes succumb to death and die on the road sides get a good road network and a nearby dispensary.
  • Voters believed that those children who travel over 7kms to get education get a nearby school to access education.
  • Voters believed that those youth who have tarmacked for years for lack of enabling environment to give them jobs get fertile working environment where the youth can explore their potentials to their fullest. that the youth becomes a resource and not a burden to the society.
  • Voters believed that the elderly whose services and leadership was enjoyed by many should be supported in their old age to counter the challenges which comes with old age.
  • Voters believed that people with disabilities and less fortunate people in the society are also catered for.
  • Voters believed that the fundamental rights of everyone in the society are heard and protected.

"the vehicle you are driving i may not drive but please give me education

The house you live in i may not live but please give me food

The type of food you eat i may not eat but please give me accessible medical services

The water you drink i may not drink but please drill me a bore hole or a dam

The post you hold i may not get there but create for me an enabling environment

The security you have i may not have but please give me a hope and assurance to live tomorrow".

Our politicians-  we held you responsible for the pledges you pledged the electorates only to forget and varnish.

Our politicians - we held you responsible for any pledge which came out of your mouths only to divert to other places.

Our politicians - when you were campaigning you said everything, but now you are unreachable and not ready to go back to electorates and address their plights and sort the possible and impossible.

Our politicians -  if you pledged any of the above to your electorates and you have done completely nothing,God is watching and your time is coming.Better promise one which you can accomplish than many which will never be done...

......a leader can be in leadership for a year and brings great change to the lives of people...leadership which can be felt by even unborn....a leader don't need hundred years to bring change!....i wonder if our leaders are ready to die with us!..Leaders,change our societies and you will have change yours too.
